This tour crosses the north side of the Monte Buch on narrow forest trails with a soft and earthy surface. From the forest clearings there is a lovely view into the Maira valley. You return from Palent (Posto tappa) on the same way. Alternatively, you can cross the Monte Buch on the way there, from which you will have a lovely panoramic view. The descent from the Monte Buch is steep and slippery and requires carefulness. A further variation leads you on the legendary Bassura Trail down to the Maira River.
